Pina trusted me to create a surprise commission for her husband. They were buying quite a few of my paintings, and the idea was to have a bespoke one to finish the set. Paulo treasures their vinyl record player, and I was taken with the snake head on the stylus. So when I was choosing what records to paint in the scene, David Bowie’s Scary Monsters was a no-brainer.
