Sam Carter and Alex Olivier, the new owners of Restaurant 22 on Chesterton Road, Cambridge, commissioned me to paint the restaurant for use on the greetings cards that they give diners who are celebrating a special occasion. I suggested I paint the restaurant’s iconic stained glass window, but from the inside, which is how you see stained glass at its best. I was so pleased to get this commission, as I’ve always thought a lot of this special restaurant, and I’m excited about the direction Sam and Alex are taking it.
Sam and Alex liked my work so much that they asked to have some large prints of their favourite paintings to decorate their newly refitted restaurant.
